Posted November 13, 2018 10:20:00New locksmiths will be able to offer services to the public starting next week in the state of California.
The company, Lock and Key, has been in business for more than 30 years and operates out of a storage facility at the former Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Station in Oxnard.
The company will be operating out of the warehouse, which is located at the corner of Union and San Joaquin Streets in Oxndale.
The store will feature a small and large size locksmith shops.
The store will also sell accessories and services such as car keys, locksmith tools and safety kits.
It also will offer services such a checkup, car repairs, insurance and more.
The shop’s opening comes at a time when many cities across the country are considering installing more locksmith services.
According to the California Department of Business Oversight, in 2018, there were 8,934 locksmith jobs in the country, a number that rose slightly from 7,976 jobs in 2017.
In the state’s northern San Joans and San Francisco counties, the unemployment rate was 5.7 percent in May 2018, down from 6.6 percent in April 2018.
