A manhunt was underway for Daughey, who police said is believed to have fled the area.
The Pensacolian reported Daughems residence was in a rural area in the community of Largo, about 45 miles (75 kilometers) east of Pensacole.
Police said the suspect was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants and a dark jacket.
Daugherty reportedly had a history of mental health problems and was a convicted felon who was awaiting trial in 2012 for a violent assault.
